If you don´t know what to do in Madrid on a rainy day, here we suggest you some interesting ideas to spend a different day in your stay in the capital.
Living in Madrid I am used to sunny days all the time and love spending as much of it as I can outside whether at a terrace cafe or in the park. Once in while though we do get some rain and as of late, it seems to be all the time. And today was one of those days. Everyone thinks the same thing on rainy days so the usual places like the Prado and Reina Sofia can get quite busy. This time I remembered that there is a new photo show at a gallery down in Menéndez Pelayo, just down from Atocha train station and decided to take a look. I found my way to the Cero Gallery on Calle Fuenterrabia 13. They have a great exhibit by the photographer Lottie Davies called Memories and Nightmares. Each photograph is a different dream, each carefully set up to every detail according to Davies memories. All of them were beautiful and I cant say that about to many exhibits I have seen. Even though there weren’t more than a dozen images it was well worth the journey down there. It made my rainy day.
So if you find yourself wondering what to do on a rainy day in Madrid, remember there are hundreds of galleries and museums all over Madrid. Just pick one!
