Places to visit in Menorca
What is not to love about Menorca! It is an exotic island that offers a surprisingly diverse selection of what I believe are some of the best beaches in the mediterranean. With plenty of places to visit in Menorca you can easily spend a week here for well deserved break under the sun. Since its quite small you can get from east end in Mahon to the west end where you have the town of Cuitadella in an hour. In the morning yo can be on a beach in the south side and 20 minutes later be on a completely different type of beach of the north side. It is often windy in Menorca so knowing its direction before you head out is important but because you can change locations quickly there is no hassle or worry of a ruined day at the beach due to wind.
On the top of my places to visit in Menorca we have Cala Macarelleta. You will need to do a little bit of walking but the path to get there is breathtaking. Other beaches to visit are Son Bou, Cala Mitjana, Cala Turqueta, Cala Pregonda, and Es Grau. There are about 100 but I think these are some of the best.
Take an evening to go to the Covas den Xoroi, or the Caves of Xoroi. It is ancient love nest turned night club and sunset club in Cala den Porter just a couple miles from Hotel Torralbenc. This club is set in caves on the cliffside about 30 meters above the sea. Its great to have cocktails and watch the sun go down. Return around midnight to dance in the caves and watch the sun rise! Just outside of Cuitadella is a place called Lithica. An open air sculpture garden carved out of an old stone quarry. The are other places to visit in Mencora, just get in touch with me for more information.
